My very own stamp rack!

I still have no new cards to show you all, but hey look what I do have. I have made my very own rack to store my stamps in. I am so excited about it. I had quite a time at the shop trying to explain to 3 men how they had to cut the piece of chipboard I bought. They thought I was nuts.

The rack is unfortunately full and I haven't even put any of my Christmas stamps in it yet :-( I guess I might have to make another one. Painting it wasn't fun at all, but at least I used some of my decoupage paints as it seems they are starting to dry out.

It is really great to have my stamps out on display now. It is SO much easier now to see what I have and what my options are when I want to make something. It was certainly worth every effort making this rack.

Here's the rack finished and semi painted!

Here is my rack full of stamps! No Magnolias in there :-(, but my Elzibells just need to be mounted and they will definitely find a home in the rack. Anyone with a great secret on how to mount them easily?

That's all for today then. Hope you all have a wonderful new year, and go safely if you party lots!

New baby to the family

Okay I've been a bit slack at blogging, but it's been Christmas and I had the whole family over yesterday, which is fun but exhausting.

Being an animal lover, I am a firm believer in not giving pets as gifts, but this Christmas was an exception. My aunt suggested we get my cousin a puppy for Christmas. I don't like to buy pets so I tried the animal shelters, but their adoption procedures are all the same. They come to your house and do an inspection first. They also come back 6 months later to make sure the pet is being treated well. So I was in a bit of a predicament. I tried Claw, which is a shelter that 'caters' for the very poor areas. They had a little white puppy, she and her sisters were put in a box on the side of the road. Her mom was with them, but the box had been closed so she couldn't get to them. Luckily someone picked them up, and now this little thing has got the best home an animal could ever ask for.

Here she is :-)

As I said, she was a gift for my cousin, so she didn't have a name yet, but my cousin's other dog is called Mia, so there was a strong consideration to name this little thing Farrow.

I miss her dearly, but I know she will be well looked after.

I made a Christmas card for my cousin to go with a letter the puppy wrote to her asking she adopts her, and I forgot to take a picture of it. I will ask her to bring it here when she comes to visit in 2 weeks time.

Well that was all I had to share for now, I am going to make some cards now, so I will hopefully have a little more to share here soon.

Here I am

Well I typed a whole long message and somehow lost it.

I have finally created a blog. Okay, I have a blog on docrafts, but it is not very user friendly :-), this is so much better.

I am so excited to be able to share all my creations with everyone out there. I hope someone at least picks me up and visits my blog. I would love to hear from all of you avid crafters out there.

Isn't the internet great. We can share so much and have the opportunity of seeing the creations of some of the best out there. Check my favourite blogs for those of you who want to see some really wonderful card designs.

Well, I will share my last creation with you. I made it for a friend at the office, for her husband's birthday. It was for once, a fun male card to make. I so do not enjoy making cards for men :-)

Here are some close ups.

It is a Penny Black stamp which I coloured with Tombows.

I have to run, the dogs are waiting to play ball, so they're driving me insane.

Please post your comments if you have any. I am so looking forward to hearing from some of you out there.
