It's a Birthday Friday

It's Friday again, and that is always a good thing. It's weekend, and it's Bellarific Friday. Who does not love bellarific friday!!???

A friend at the office asked me for a card for her daughter who's turning 7, and I am always challenged with the placement of the number. It's like this big obstacle I have to overcome whenever I have to put numbers on. Why is that, am I the only one....??

This cute image is another of Stamping Bella's fantastic collection, and she's called Meredith the teacup girl. Isn't she just too cute. I coloured her with a mix of prismacolor and lyra pencils, and blended with sansador. Cut the image with nesties and layered it on nesties, added some ribbon, glamour dust and the 7 of course. I hope it looks okay there where it ended up, cause if not it's too late, she's already got the card, lol.

Be sure to go and visit the Bellablog to see what the other babes have been up to, I have seen two of their creations and are they amazing. Jeanie, I LOVE it! Also remember if you leave a comment you can win some bella bucks to spend on lovely bella goodies.

Off I go, it's raining AGAIN, in fact pouring. I have my very own dam in my garden already.

Bye for now.

It's raining it's pouring

Sorry but that was the best heading I could come up with tonight. We have had rain, and more rain, oh and some more rain in case we hadn't had enough yet, and don't get me wrong I am the last person to complain about rain, but constant and floods on top of it is not fun! At least there is a good side, I am saving money on watering the garden. Always a bright side to everything, lol.

Before I get onto my card, and in case those of you who subscribe via email actually read all my waffle, I just want to let you know that I know it sends out two emails for the same post, I don't know how to fix it, sorry, and I fear if I try it will stop working altogether. So in case it is annoying I'm sorry about that.

This gorgeous image is from Stamping Bella and is called Bessie Lulu. I think it is such a sweet image that could also make a really elegant card, but seeing I am not an elegant card making expert, this is what I came up with. If you want to see what I mean, go check fellow Bella babe Linda's card here.

I coloured her with Prismacolor pencils, blended with sansador and cut out with nesties. I also added some glitter to the flowers, but it doesn't really show up on the photo.

Don't forget this Friday's Bellarific theme is BIRTHDAY, it's easy and fun and everyone can participate. You can win bella bucks remember. I have already done my card and can't wait to see what everyone else got up to.

I got to get going, I'm trying to do some work while writing this post and I might just start talking about annoying fax servers that won't work. So let me focus and try and fix that.

PS: thanks for every one's concern with my security issue last week. Things seem okay for now, who knows if they'll come back and try again, anything is possible. We live with it.

See you all soon!

Bellarific Twinchie Friday

Well this Friday's challenge was an interesting one for me. I have had my twinchies for some time now, and luckily we decided on this challenge or I would probably still not have opened them, lol.

I used little Fluey Huggabugg from Stamping Bella for my twinchie. It fitted just perfectly, but of course you can use it with just a portion of an image too. You just need to be creative, which I am so not.

I coloured the huggabugg with my prismacolor pencils and blended it with sansador, then used a nestie cut out as the base of my card, it came out so cute. A perfect little get well card. I just need to share that twinchies can be used with copics or pencils in case you were wondering.

That was it, was a fun quick project. Go on over to the Bellablog now and go and see what the rest of them talented people have done! I am blown away, and so jealous I did not think of half of those stunning ideas. Also remember if you leave a comment you can win some Bella bucks, how cool is that.

It's weekend and I am so pleased, I am going to enjoy every minute of it. Take care.

Not a happy girl

Now who would've thought when I made this card I would feel exactly like she does the day I get to post it. I had such drama at my house last night with someone trying to break in and actually ripping my electric fence off in one place to climb over the wall. Thank goodness for the alarm cause that must've scared them, but I can't say I'm the happiest of people right now.

Anyhow that stuff is depressing so lets talk about my card. No Fair Girl is from Stamping Bella, and I think you all know by now that I love Stamping Bella.

I coloured her with my prismacolor pencils, blended with sansador, and cut with my craft knife, hehehe, no nestie. I did a pierced border around the card, and don't get me wrong, I really like that effect, but I really wanted to stitch it and was too lazy to go to the sewing room, lol!

That's about it, and about all I have to share today. Don't forget Bellarific Friday is twinchie Friday or a 2" square cardboard.

Bye for now

Peek a Pookie

Look at pookie lollipop peeking at us, isn't it the cutest thing. I love the lollipop range from Stamping Bella, they are all so adorable.

I have a few of them, and just don't seem to get enough time to use them all. Does anyone else have that problem, loads of gorgeous stamps you're dying to use and just not enough time, lol!

I coloured Pookie with my prisma pencils, blended her with Sansador, and added some grass. I think I need to go through Paula's grass tutorial again, it doesn't look anywhere as good as hers! The image was cut with nesties then layered on a nestie and layered on another nestie... Can anyone tell that I love the fiskars apron lace punch. I try use it on every card, rofl.

I'm going to make this post short and end it here, my PC keeps crashing since we had a power failure today. It's very frustrating. I hope I get to publish the post.

This week's Bellarific Friday challenge is twinchies or a 2" square. Can't wait to see that, cause it's a major challenge for me, lol.

Have a great week.

Lovey dovey Friday

Today is Lovey Dovey Friday at Stamping Bella, but I think Fridays are so cool they should all be lovey dovey. Don't you all agree!

Today is also release day for Stamping Bella, and my little image here, Eunice and Irving, is just one of the gorgeous new releases you will be seeing. I cannot wait. I love mice they are so cute and I love cute it's my absolute favourite, AND with Valentine's day around the corner who would not want these two cuties to tell someone you love them.

I coloured these two with my prismacolor pencils and blended it with sansador. I used my bow easy to make my perfect bow, yeah I'm not that good. And I did the borders with the fiskars apron lace border punch.

Be sure to go and visit the Bella Blog to see what everyone else has done and of course what gorgeous new images they got to play with. I know I can't wait and I know I am going to have a basket full of rubber on it's way to Africa pretty soon, lol.

I am so pleased it's Friday, I am exhausted after 3 weeks no work and one work all work. I still think we should have 3 day weekends.

Take care, have a great weekend.

Must love cats

....actually and dogs and birds too! LOL!! Anyone coming into my house now is going to have to be an animal lover. Not that it was any different before, but now there's so many and such a variety, I think it's going to be a must!

I just had to use this stamp, Kittycattabella from Stamping Bella, seeing I have a little kitten (taking over here I'll have you know). I figured it was a good time to pull out this stamp. Even if there is never ever a use for this card, I'll just look at it every now and then to remind me of this time.

I coloured the image with prisma pencils blended it with sansador, then cut it with nesties and layered it on nesties. The idea of the layout comes from a creation Amy Sheffer did not so long ago. Amy is probably one of the people who inspire me the most. I have never come across anyone else who can make such stunning creations. If you have possibly, although I cannot imagine that, never come across her blog do go and check it out!

I am so depressed today, rofl!!, it's my last day at home doing as little as possible, okay that's not true, I've been quite busy, but I have NOT been going to work. Tomorrow it's back to that silly old place that pays the bills, damn if only they would pay themselves.

I shall be back soon with more and we have a new release at Stamping Bella this week. Don't forget to check out the Bellablog, you'll find all the details there.

Have a great Sunday.

Back to School

You might be wondering, what on earth was I thinking, how is this back to school!?!?. Well my pupil is going back to Art School, lol rofl! Not everyone has to be the same. She might win American Idol one day. Speaking of American Idol, I hear it's Simon Cowell's last season, how sad is that.

Back to my card... This is such a cool stamp from Stamping Bella, All punked up and nowhere to go, I love it. Reminds me of myself in the 80's, woohoo! I coloured her with my prisma pencils, blended it with sansador and cut the image with nesties. The 'sentiment' at the bottom right, was paper pieced, it is part of the DP, I just wanted to make it stand out a little. So I cut it out and put some liquid crystal on.

The other sentiment is from Stamping Bella and it's probably one of my favourites. It's great with so many occasions. (I think :-))

So that's all about the card I can share. Don't forget to go and check the Bella Blog for all the other stunning creations this week. I am pretty sure my fellow babes have made things I am going to envy, in a nice way of course, lol! Oh and leave a comment, you could win some bucks.

Before I go, I've got a few more pictures of Jingle to share. He's grown!! He is still very small though, only a hand full.

Now I'm done, finally.

Dylan the dude!

That's what this cool dude is called, Dylan, he's from the Stamping Bella lollipop range. They are such great stamps, do go check them out when you have a moment. You won't be soooooorry....

I coloured Dylan with my prismacolor pencils, blended it with sandsador and cut the image with long nestie regtangles. I must say, don't use those often, but are they handy when you need them!

The sentiment is from Stamping Bella too, I stamped it and hand cut the edges. I like that look, I am sure it's obvious cause I use it quite often, hehehe. Well I guess if it works, then use it, lol.

I can't believe my holiday is almost over. Only two working days left. It's unbelievable how fast the time goes, especially when you are not at work.

Don't forget this week's Bellarific Friday challenge is back to school. If you join in you could win some Bella bucks, or just leave a comment and you could win as well. How cool is that.

Oh and I nearly forgot! We have a new Bella Babe. Jodi Collins has joined our fabulous team. She is super talented, I am sure she will have loads of inspiration for us all.

That's me for now. Got to go get crafting!

Stella thinks she can cook

Or in this case it's bake! Don't we just love Stella. I can't wait for the day that Emily releases a new Stella, she'll be in my basket faster than you can imagine, lol!

The new year has arrived, and it's already the 4th, thank goodness I am still off work. I need this week to recover from the hectic Christmas and new year I had.

Let me tell you a bit about this card, although it is really not anything you haven't heard already :-). I coloured Stella with my prisma pencils and blended it with sansador. Then cut the image with my nestie and layered it on nesties. The sentiment is also from Stamping Bella, and I punched the corners with a stampin' up corner punch!

Don't forget Bellarific Friday is back this week. Our theme is 'back to school'! I am SO pleased it is not me who has to go back to school, it was never my favourite place.

I am going to attempt to see Avatar again today. I hope it's not sold out again!!

Have a great week.
